Father of the Rastafarian student apologises for accusing son of assault

Tereo Marhguy, the father of the Rastafarian student who accused his son of assault at Achimota School, has apologized for making the incident public.

According to him, he emailed the footage of bloody bruises on his hand to a few close friends for assistance, but it was released on social media.

Tereo Marhguy told Citi News that the event won’t happen again after the family talked with Child Rights International about the charges and threats he made.

“Everything that happened shouldn’t have happened in the first place. We need to calm down and figure things out. It’s sad that it was made public and that people have formed opinions based on it. I sincerely apologize to anyone who has been harmed. I apologize to everyone for the inconvenience this has caused. We were struggling, and he just held my hand.”

Tereo Marghuy had accused his son of assaulting him severely.

The father was seen with bleeding bruises on his hand in a video posted on social media, claiming that his son had reportedly abused him during a fight.

Tereo Marhguy told Citi News about the event.

“He was supposed to repair a tablet for his sister, and then they were ready about an hour ago, but he was still sitting there watching TV. I went in there and asked Tyrone what was going on. He burst out and started insulting his sister and unplugged the laptop. He walked over to me and I threatened to slap him, and then he held my hand, so through the struggling up and down, I had blood everywhere.”
