Fans make fun of Portable, a ‘upcoming’ artist, as Davido’s uncle wins the Osun election
As the Osun governorship election comes to a close and INEC announces Ademola Adeleke as the winner, fans of Nigerian afrobeat legend David Adeleke, also known as Davido, are not taking it well with up-and-coming controversial hip-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, who has declared his support for the state’s current governor, Gboyega Oyetola.
Prior to the election, Portable joined the All Progressives Congress, or APC, and claimed that the ruling party had paid him to campaign for Oyetola in Osun state and on all social media sites.
As requested by the APC, Portable posted a video on Instagram showing him endorsing Oyetola.
He wrote:
“Akoi APC, Akoi Oyetola Lekan si. 4+4=8. O ti lo.”
While Davido’s argument for Adeleke in his political endeavors looked to be moral support, Portable views his own adventure as a means to make money and double his hustle, as the lingo always goes.
However, the 2022 Osun governorship election has been declared to have been won by Senator Ademola Adeleke.
Adeleke got 403,371 PDP votes, while Lasun Yusuf received 2,729 votes from the Labour Party, LP, to defeat Oyetola and the APC.
As a result of the story, Portable is currently trending because people accuse him of betraying Davido, who gave him the boost to fame.
