Don-K volunteers to pay Bulldog’s GH¢48k court fine

Don K, a young Ghanaian hip-hop musician, has offered to pay the GH 48k court punishment imposed on artiste management, Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, also known as Bulldog.

After saying in an interview on UTV that Nana Akufo-Addo would not complete his four-year term if he failed to ensure that Menzgold consumers get their locked-up cash, Bulldog was brought to court in 2021.

Bulldog pleaded not guilty to the allegation throughout the two-year trial, adamant that he had never intended to threaten the president. He asserted that his request to the President was made only in the interest of Menzgold’s clients.

However, given the seriousness of the statement, the presiding judge, Justice Evelyn Asamoah, stated in her ruling that it was not an appeal.

On January 10, 2023, he was charged with disturbing the peace and given a GH48,000 fine or, in the event of nonpayment, a sentence of 40 days in jail.

However, in a conversation with Ghanaweekend.com, Don K made the offer to cover Bulldog’s fine. The aspiring musician claims that he always wanted to collaborate with the former SM leader; for this reason, he agreed to cover the charge.

“I want to pay the money for Bulldog… the GH¢48K court fine… I want to pay because I want to work with him…I want him to manage me, so I want to pay the fine then afterwards we talk about business.”

Bulldog’s payment status is currently unknown, although Don K stated that “even if Bulldog has already paid, I will return the money back to him… I want it noted that I covered the fine for him.

With his most recent hit, “M’ay3 Dada,” Don K has won over many hiplife music fans.

He had to make one of the professionally produced music videos to promote the song that was published a few weeks ago due to the overwhelming demand.
