Cut off my manh**d if NPP wins Assin North seat – NDC’s Agyenim Boateng
The Bono East Regional Deputy Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Obeng Agyenim Boateng has vowed that should the NPP wins the upcoming by election at Assin North, his manh**d should be cut off.
The Vociferous NDC youth leader who was speaking on Dwaboase on TV XYZ Thursday morning stated that despite the intimidation and vote-buying tactics of the governing NPP, the NDC is confident about retaining the seat with James Gyakye Quayson as its candidate.
“As we have dedicated our efforts and resources towards a successful campaign. Our team’s unwavering determination, strategic planning, and strong connection with the community have positioned us for success,” he said.
The Young politician opined that the NDC is committed to representing the interests and aspirations of the people, and they will work tirelessly to address their concerns and bring about positive change.
‘’With the support and trust of the electorate, nothing will hinder our path to victory. The love for Hon. Quason at Assin North, and the NDC if higher than expected due to the good works of our candidate’’
He added that “even if the NPP try all their electioneering misconduct, trying to impose their unqualified candidate on the people of Assin North, we are going to win the elections regardless.”
To him, the fact that the NPP’s candidate, Charles Opoku, is not a registered voter in the area is a big blow to the NPP.
Samuel Duah, a panel member on the show representing the NPP disagreed with him, arguing that the candidate could vote in the election.
But in sharp rebuttal, Obeng Agyenim Boateng vowed that, “If the NPP candidate is able to vote dirung the by-election in Assin North, chop off my manhood” and added “I am offering myself for you; if the NPP wins the by-election, come and chop off my manhood.”
Meanwhile, the Central Regional Chairman of the NDC, Professor Richard Asiedu has said they are unfazed by the intimidation tactics of their opponents.
He told Akora Kofi Darko on Dwaboase on TV XYZ that they are prepared adequately and will ensure that the NDC wins the seat for the people of Assin North who have been denied a representation in Parliament for a long time.
