Chaos was planned to interfere with my vetting because I was their target—Samuel Okuzeto

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has asserted that he was the primary target of the incidents that took place during the ministerial vetting procedure in Parliament.
In his statement before the special committee looking into the incident on Friday, February 7, 2025, Ablakwa said that the disruption was an intentional attempt to prevent him from being vetted.
“It appears to me that I was the target. The sequence of events was not random; it was a deliberate scheme to obstruct my vetting… because they were happy to vet others,” he told the committee.
“What I saw was an attempt to disrupt the proceedings, and they proceeded to disrupt it,” he said.
Following tense altercations among MPs, Speaker Alban Bagbin suspended four MPs and opened an official investigation into the incidents.
