Agyenim-Boateng Takes Over SIC Leadership from Duah-Yentumi

Hollistar Duah-Yentumi, the Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, has officially handed over leadership to her successor, James Agyenim-Boateng.
At a ceremony held at the company’s Head Office in Accra, she highlighted SIC Insurance PLC’s strong financial performance in 2024, reporting a revenue of GH¢513 million—a 37.48% increase from the GH¢373 million recorded the previous year.

President John Dramani Mahama announced James Agyenim-Boateng’s appointment on January 27, 2025.
However, Duah-Yentumi initially contested the decision, filing a lawsuit on February 4, 2025, arguing that her four-year tenure—set to expire in 2028—had been unlawfully cut short.
“Under and by virtue of the agreement, the Plaintiff’s tenure as Managing Director is for a period of four years, expiring on the 1st day of January 2028 or soon thereafter as may be agreed upon by the Board of Directors of the 1st Defendant and the Plaintiff,” her lawsuit stated.
She sought full payment of her salary and benefits for the remainder of her contract.
However, just days later, she withdrew the lawsuit, clearing the way for a smooth leadership transition at SIC Insurance PLC.
