I am not going to tolerate this behaviour- Allan Kyerematen fumes over assault on his polling agent

Former trades minister and Aspiring Presidential Candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Alan Kyerematen has finally broken his silence since he came 3rd in the super delegates conference of the New Patriotic Party.

Mr. Kyeremanten condemned the assault on one of his polling agents, Ali Zakaria in the North East Region at the just ended NPP Super Delegates Congress.

Alan Kyerematen who visited the victim at the Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital in Accra said it is an act of indiscipline which should not be tolerated.

“What happened to my colleague on Saturday was an act of total indiscipline and indecent behaviour. How do we as a decent party going into an election, particularly at a level of Super Delegates superintend such behaviour. We all joined the NPP because of our commitment to the values of the party but what is happening clearly shows that this is not what we bargained for by joining the party. I am not going to tolerate this behaviour, it doesn’t make sense”

Allan Kyerematen expressed his frustration over the disunity and the barbaric behaviour showcased at a mere 961 delegates conference, wondering what will happen during the Presidential primary come November 2023, said he is very disturbed.

“When we cannot conduct ourselves as a family trying to select a leader in a peaceful and organized manner, how do we intend to be able to do the kind of process when we have 200,000 plus gathered. Frankly I am very disturbed about what has happened. The party must not put a shine on this kind of incidents.
