Nana Addo does not listen to “sack him” calls – Adom Otchere
The host of Metro TV’s primetime program Good Evening Ghana, Paul Adom Otchere, claims that the conspiracy revealed in a leaked recording to remove Inspector General of Police George Akufo-Dampare would fail because the President, who appointed Akufo-Dampare, will not budge under pressure to remove his appointees.
“Here is President Akuffo Addo who have had his members of parliament about 90 out of 137 of them, come to him say, sack the finance minister, has he sacked the finance minister? no he hasn’t, that he is going to be under pressure to sack the IGP is unlikely and it is not the way Akufo-Addo governs”
Paul Adom Otchere highlighted that the President’s character throughout the years has demonstrated that he does not act just in accordance with popular opinion.
“The whole country rose up to demand for cabinet reshuffle, I also called for it but he came out to say that he will not reshuffle his cabinet that everyone is doing well.”
The New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s former Northern regional chairman Bugri Naabu and a police commissioner who identified himself only as Mensa are heard plotting to have Dr. George Akuffo Dampare removed because he is too rigid and won’t allow the 2024 elections to be rigged.
