Actor Yul Edochie’s first wife, May Yul, has allegedly began divorce proceedings against her estranged husband, Yul. May and her counsel reportedly visited a court today July 10, to submit a petition for the dissolution of her 18-year-old marriage to the actor. According to insiders, Yul has refused to be served the originating summons.
His choice to take in actress Judy Austin as a second wife and have a kid with her has caused conflict between the pair.
Yul revealed in April 2022 that he and Judy had a son, making her his second wife. May’s dislike of his union with Judy has never been kept a secret. May issued a statement in September 2022 expressing her dissatisfaction.
She said that before the unusual occurrences involving her marriage, she had a secure and loving household.
She said that no one should be forced to adopt polygamy since it is a lifestyle choice.
May emphasized that while she has nothing against polygamy and that certain religions and cultures sanction it, she would not be intimidated or pressured into embracing behavior that conflicts with her religious beliefs and her family’s values.
