2024 elections: Majority of Ghanaians doubt NPP can ‘break 8’  – Research  

According to a nationwide opinion survey by Global InfoAnalytics, 55% of people do not think the New Patriotic Party (NPP) can break the “eight” in the 2024 presidential elections.

Additionally, the survey revealed that 27% of respondents thought the NPP could break the “eight,” with 18% remaining undecided.

Only 60% of voters who backed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the 2020 election plan to support NPP candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 presidential election, according to the poll. A total of 19% of voters intend to support National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Mahama, 9% will vote for M4C founder and leader Alan Kyerematen, and 2% will support NFM leader Nana Kwame Bediako in the New Force Movement.

However, 92% of voters who supported John Mahama in the 2020 election want to support him once more, compared to 3% who supported Dr. Bawumia, 2% who supported Mr. Kyerematen, and 1% who supported Nana Bediako.Kyerematen, and two percent for Nana Kwame Bediako, the head of the New Force Movement (NFM).

5,928 people responded to the survey, which had a sample size of 6,128 voters, a margin of error of 1.66 percent, and a confidence level of 99 percent. The sample frame was the 2023 voter register from the Electoral Commission.
