Asisat Oshoala, a striker for the Super Falcons of Nigeria, has entered the 20-person shortlist for the Women’s Ballon d’Or award in 2022.
Oshoala, 27, just surpassed her compatriot Perpetua Nkwocha by being named the 2022 CAF Women’s Player of the Year. This is the 27-year-fifth old’s time winning the award.
She will, however, compete for the Ballon d’Or award against strong competitors including Sam Kerr, Vivianne Miedema, Beth Mead, and Alex Morgan.
