2020 WASSCE Starts Today Across Ghana

A total of 375, 737 candidates will from today, Monday, July 20 begin sitting for the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in Ghana.

It commences amid concerns about health protocols in place to ensure containment of the spread of the novel coronavirus.

President Akufo-Addo in his good luck message said “Every Ghanaian acknowledges that education is key to the future of our country. We, therefore, must do everything possible, even in the midst of the pandemic to guarantee the prospects of our youth, protect their potential, and thereby help preserve our collective future.”

He urged the students and staff to continue to adhere to the safety protocols.

In all, 60 subjects including four core and 56 elective subjects are to be written.

The WASSCE which starts today will end on 5th September 2020.
