We’re Aware; and Working to get things back to normal – Whatsapp Assure Users

Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram have all gone down in a major software update.

The three apps – which are all owned by on company and run on shared infrastructure all have completely stopped working.

Users of these apps can’t send nor receive messages.

Visitors to the Facebook website simply saw an error page or a message that their browser could not connect.

The WhatsApp and Instagram apps continued to work but did not show new content, including any message sent or received.

Meanwhile, Whatsapp has issued a statement confirming they are having a major update which is essentially causing the outage and promised to fix it back to normal.
