For the first time, Ghanaian artiste Nana Ama Mcbrown has revealed that she did not conceive her daughter Maxine naturally.
According to her, she had complications that required they took off her fallopian tubes – a reason she had to resort to in vitro fertilisation.
She told Naa Ashorkor on ‘We Got This Africa’ that she once had fibroid. She had to undergo surgery to remove them. That is why it took her long to get pregnant.
In her revelation, the host of UTV’s ‘United Showbiz’ show said that another surgery was performed on her to also remove one of her fallopian tubes because it was damaged. This made it possible for her to have an in vitro fertilisation (IVF) that enable her to conceive.
“I am saying for the first time, my tubes one of them was damaged, and they had to take it off. I shouldn’t have said this, but Naa a lot of women are going through this. Mine, I have gotten a result, I have gotten Maxine and what I wanted,” Mcbrown said.
Married to Maxwell Mensah, Nana Ama Mcbrown has always told the story of how she suffered to get pregnant at age 40.
