I’ll never pay delegates for votes – KK Fosu to run for Akuapem North parliamentary seat

Legendary highlife artiste, KK Fosu, has said he’ll invest in sports and entertainment facilities in his hometown than giving his money to delegates for votes.

KK Fosu, born Kaakyire Kwame Fosu, has recently declared his intention to contest as a Member of Parliament for Akuapem North. The highlife act believes if, given the nod, he can develop his constituency with agriculture.

In a recent phone-in interview with Onua FM’s Christian Agyei Frimpong on Anigye mmere show, KK Fosu said

“I’m contesting for MP as an independent candidate. I will never give a penny to any delegate. I will rather build an orphanage home in Akuapem North or save the Ghs1000 for each delegate to fund an astroturf pitch or do small-scale agriculture to loan them. You don’t believe I can win the election. But when the time is right, I will.”

In conclusion, the optimistic musician indicated that being the MP for his constituents will give him the needed power to serve them well.

“If I have become someone like KK Fosu with a voice for my people and the entire country, I believe if we are to close the father, as in going parliament, I can do more.

“Everything we do in this country is done in an accordance with the law. And laws are made by the Parliamentarians. My voice would be heard if I represent my people. And that’s exactly what I’m doing,” he concluded.
