Nana Agradaa Finally Gets Bail

Barely a week after being detained for an alleged money-doubling scheme in her church, Patricia Oduro, also known as Nana Agradaa, was given a GHS50,000 bond.

The Accra Circuit Court ordered Agradaa to provide three sureties, who must be government employees making a minimum of GHS2,000, after hearing the matter on October 17. Additionally, she will show up at the police station each Wednesday up until further notice.

Seven accusations of defrauding by false pretense through advertising on her own television channel, TTV, remain against Nana Agradaa.

After many who attended her all-night session on October 7 were seen in viral videos accusing her of cheating them during the event, the authorities on Monday, October 10 stated that they had begun investigating the controversial preacher.

Akua MP, a TikTok user who was present at the event, presented a graphic picture of what happened at the Heaven Way Church in Weija, where participants believe Evangelist Patricia Oduro conned them out of money.

The church event, which began on Friday, October 7, in the evening, ended on Saturday, October 8, in the morning.

Members who were caught on camera in viral social media videos claim that Agradaa promised to double any donations made to her church during an evangelism presentation on TTV.

After receiving their funds, Akua MP said that Agradaa had not doubled the amount as promised and had also refused to return the funds.

Other displeased members claim that Agradaa offered to give some of her victims GHS10 so they could use it to pay for transportation back home when she realized that many of her victims were still loitering on the church grounds after the ceremony.
