John Dumelo will lose Ayawaso West Wuogon seat again – Mr. Logic

Entertainment pundit Mr. Logic has predicted that Ghanaian actor turned-politician John Dumelo will lose the Ayawaso West Wougon constituency vote if he wins the primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He said his view is based on personal research.

Speaking on a panel discussion on UTV’s United Showbiz on August 12, 2023, he voiced his disappointment with Fred Nuamah’s withdrawal from the race, as he believed Nuamah had a better chance at securing victory than Dumelo.

“For me, I was so happy that he (Fred Nuamah) was contesting John because John was too boastful. It seemed like the place belonged to him. He was so overconfident that he was going to win.

“If Fred Nuamah has backed down, I am disappointed with the entire system. I wanted Fred to win because, regarding John, I foresee another loss. He will still lose. Yes, I am telling you, everyone conducts their own research, and my research indicates that John will lose again.

“The people in that area already have their preferred candidates. And merely because he came close last time doesn’t mean he could have won. So, what I am saying is that I feel John will not win this time; he will lose.”

John Dumelo announces plan to become a ‘Ganja farmer’

Actor turned farmer, John Dumelo, is expanding his agricultural ventures by including cannabis cultivation in his portfolio.

Alongside his successful cultivation of crops like ginger, tubers, grains, and poultry farming, Mr. Dumelo sees cannabis as a promising addition to his endeavors.

His decision comes in light of the recent passing of the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) Bill, 2023 into law by parliament on July 12.

This new legislation grants the Interior Ministry the authority to issue licenses for the cultivation of cannabis, as long as it contains no more than 0.3% THC content on dry weight, specifically for industrial or medicinal purposes.

Expressing his enthusiasm for this development, Mr. Dumelo eagerly welcomed this significant moment in Ghana’s history. He sees it as an opportunity to venture into the cultivation of cannabis, recognizing its potential value in various sectors.

By embracing the changing legal landscape and seeking to engage in responsible and regulated cannabis cultivation, John Dumelo aims to contribute to the growth of Ghana’s agricultural industry while exploring the potential benefits of this versatile crop.

Charges Are Too Much – John Dumelo Calls For ‘E-levy’ Demo

According to John Dumelo, if dumsor necessitated a protest, celebrities should keep the same energy and speak up against the ‘outrageous’ e-levy tax charges.

The member of parliament aspirant, who was unhappy with the amount of e-levy charges he paid, is firmly protesting the Electronic-levy.

“Today, I sent momo worth almost 5,000 to pay the farmworkers. Do you know how much e-levy I paid? Almost 70-something cedi. If I have to pay such an amount every day, I will be paying 70 cedis every day. It is serious. It’s not good.”

John Dumelo also back-peddled to say that such an action would be useless because the current government would not listen to the people. “We can do it, but the people there will not listen. So it will be for nothing. My point is these people (NPP government), you can do it tomorrow, walk naked from here to Agboloshie (throws hands up in a helpless manner),” he told AdomTV.

Earlier, John Dumelo chastised Yvonne Nelson for spearheading the Dumsor demo. He called it unnecessary because EX-President Mahama promised to fix it.

He also said that the ex-president listening to the people and fixing the dumsor problem shows the difference between the NPP and NDC.

John Dumelo wants Ghana to export “wee”

Ghanaian actor and CEO of Melo Foods, John Dumelo has expressed concerns about the illegality of marijuana in Ghana.

The 2020 election, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency says it is time to address the country’s laws.

He raised concerns about the importation and use of cigarettes and alcohol into the country, even though the products do not generate enough revenue for the country.

John Dumelo believes that if marijuana and its associated products are made legal in Ghana, it will be a source of revenue for the country.

He indicates that the products can be exported to other countries and that will fetch Ghana enough cash. John Dumelo made this case for marijuana in a tweet.

He said “casinos, cigarettes and alcohol are all legal in Ghana, but marijuana is illegal. We spend millions of dollars importing alcohol and cigarettes, yet we can make billions exporting Marijuana based products as a country. The Legal marijuana market will be worth $70bn in 6 years”.
