In an interview with Accra FM, award-winning gospel musician Piesie Esther explained why many artists don’t receive the essential commercial sponsorships to further their careers.
She claims that many companies that are eager to fund artists promote goods that might not be consistent with Christian principles. As a result, it is challenging for artists to secure sponsorship from these businesses.

Piesie gave examples of times when she had to refuse rich offers because of her adherence to Christian principles and ideals.
“A lottery brand tried to persuade me to market their product, but I was unable to do so since the product’s name would harm my gospel brand and company.
“These behaviors aren’t always sinful, but you always have to consider what other people might think. I’m not allowed to promote aphrodisiacs, condoms, booze, or lotteries, she remarked.
Piesie recounted instances in which she had to decline rich offers because of her Christian ethics and morals.
“A lottery brand tried to get me to promote their product, but I was unable to do so since the name of the brand would harm my business and gospel brand.
“These activities aren’t always immoral, but you have to consider other people’s opinions in addition to your own. Lotto, booze, condoms, and aphrodisiacs are prohibited from my advertising, she claimed.
