The embattled boss of failed gold dealership firm-Menzgold Nana Appiah Mensah aka NAM1 is facing 6 charges upon his arrival in Ghana from Dubai.
NAM1 who was apprehended by the Criminal Investigation Department(CID) of the Ghana Police is now facing fresh charges.
According to a report by adomonline, the embattled CEO of the failed gold dealership firm has been hit with 4 charges with his wife, Rose Appiah and sister Benedicta Appiah facing two charges.
Nana Appiah Mensah is facing 2 charges of abetment to defraud by false pretense and two counts of abetment to carry out banking business without a license which is against Section(6) of the Banks and Specialised Deposit-taking Institutions Act,2016 (Act 930).
Brew Marketing Consult and Menzgold Ghana Limited which are two of NAM1’s companies represented by himself are charged with defrauding by false pretense, contrary to section 20(1) and 13(1) of the Criminal Offences Act,1960(Act 29).
The aforementioned companies were also charged with carrying out deposit-taking business without licence.
The wife of NAM1, Rose Appiah and Sister Benedicta Appiah have also been charged with 2 counts of abetment to defraud by false pretense and two counts of abetment to carry out banking business without license, contrary to section 6(1) of Act 930.

An attempt by Nana Appiah Mensah’s lawyer, Kwame Akuffo to get a bail appeal proved futile.
He was arraigned at the Accra Circuit Court on Friday morning and was into police custody to reappear before the court on July 26, 2019.
The court presided over by Jane Helen Akweley Quaye, remanded NAM 1 after the police prosecutors prayed for his remand to aid investigations.
NAM1 has been in the grips of Dubai prisons for the past 7 months over an alleged fraud case which he later won the case.
Upon his arrival in Ghana Yesterday 11th July 2019 he was apprehended by the CID at the Kotoka International Airport.
He was taken to the CID headquarters to answer some questions regarding his charges of Defrauding by false pretense.
