The love and respect Shatta Wale had for the late Terry Bonchaka seems not to have faded away.
The ‘Gringo’ hitmaker in a recent interview stated that he usually goes to the musician’s grave to pay respect to him.
According to him even though Terry’s stay in the music industry was short lived, he really paid his dues.
He added that if he had the opportunity to bring any dead artiste back to life, he would not hesitate to choose Terry.
“Terry bonchaka is one person I would love to bring back if I had the chance. I loved his style. From time to time, the boys and I visit his grave. We want Ghanaians to remember his legacy. He is on the #ReignALBUM,” he said.
Terry Bonchaka died on 29th October 2003 in a car accident while returning from a show at the University of Ghana.
Bonchaka was known for wide leg pants, a comb in his hair and a walking stick to match.
His distinctiveness was incomparable as he released creative musical pieces within the short time he lived.
Shatta Wale whose ‘Reign’ album is soon to be launched also disclosed that notwithstanding the bad perception people have about him, he always tries to impart the value of respect among his friends and the Shatta Movement.
His ‘Gringo’ video is said to be the most expensive music video that has been produced by a Ghanaian musician.
Signed to the Zyofon Music record label, he has released ‘Amount’ which is gaining massive airplay.
